I was particularly struck by the repair work made to the ruins and architecture, and how this showed the history of the people who used the buildings, and the relationship of those trying to preserve and maintain these masterpieces.
During my trip the weather was humid and wet, which is why I chose the slightly dark pastel colour for the sky - it is an illustration of my experience as much as it is of the relationship between the past and present.
